Stripe Nears 128,000 Sq Ft Headquarters Pre-Let at Blackstone’s Broadgate Quarter
Broadgate Quarter, 9 Appold Street EC2
  • Stripe is close to signing a lease for about 128,000 sq ft at Blackstone’s Broadgate Quarter, on the edge of the City of London. The space is understood to cover the first and second floors and part of the third floor.
  • The space would be more than three times Stripe’s current London footprint. Stripe is understood to be relocating from 201 Bishopsgate.

Global financial infrastructure and digital payments giant Stripe is in advanced negotiations to secure approximately 128,000 sq ft of office space at Broadgate Quarter, located at 9 Appold Street. If completed, the fintech firm will occupy the entire 1st and 2nd floors alongside partial space on the 3rd floor within the Blackstone-owned complex. The relocation marks a significant operational expansion, with Stripe moving from its existing premises in 201 Bishopsgate to more than triple its London physical footprint. Joint leasing agents Newmark and Knight Frank are representing Blackstone in marketing the remaining vacant floors across the 456,000 sq ft office scheme.

The scale of Stripe’s requirement underscores a broader flight to quality among mega-cap technology and fintech occupiers, who continue to seek modernised, highly connected floorplates on the periphery of the City and Old Street technology corridor. By selecting Broadgate Quarter, Stripe benefits from floor plates reaching up to ~50,000 sq ft per level, allowing for high operational density and horizontal integration.
